Egan Method

Deload Protocol

This is the recommended Deload Protocol of The Egan Method. We deload every 6 weeks or sooner if we feel like your fatigue has accumulated to a point that we won’t recover from with our normal rest days.

Day 1
As always, we start every workout with The Egan Warm-up.
The first exercise is the clean & press,work up to 60% of your 1 rep max for 3 sets of 1 rep. Next we back Squat working up to 60% of our 1 rep max for 3 sets of 2 reps.

Day 2
Off

Day 3
Start with The Egan Warm-up, then front Squat working up to 60% of your 1 rep max for 3 sets of 2 reps.
Next is either flat or Incline bench press working up to 60% of your 1 rep max for 3 sets of 2 reps.

Day 4
Off

Day 5
Again, start with The Egan Warm-up.
Then clean & press working up to 60% of your 1 rep max for 3 sets of 1rep.
Last we back squat working up to 60% of our 1 rep max for 3 sets of 2 reps.

Day 6

Off

This Deload Protocol is very simple but effective. It allows you to practice all your technical lifts while also allowing you to recover.
